16-year-old injured in hit-and-run Tuesday night
A 16-year-old was badly injured during a hit-and-run Tuesday night near Flakes Mill Road and Harvest Drive in the Decatur area. Police are searching for the driver.
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 16-year-old male and fled the scene, leaving the teenager with life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Dec. 17 at the intersection of Flakes Mill Road and Harvest Drive in the Decatur area, according to DeKalb County police. Witnesses reported that the driver did not stop to check on the teen after the collision and drove away.
Authorities have not yet released a description of the vehicle involved as the investigation continues.
