2 women, infant die in Hall County crash
HALL COUNTY, Ga. - Three people, including a young infant, are dead after a crash in Hall County.
It happened just after 3:20 p.m. along Georgia Highway 347, where Friendship Road turns into Holiday road at E. Jones Drive. Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol said white Subaru Legacy driven by Hannah Simmons, 23, of Gainesville, was heading west on the state highway. Troopers said Simmons lost control of the car, hit the curb before crossing over the concrete median and spinning out in the opposing lanes.
The car was then struck by a white Ford F-350 truck driven by Dana Collins, 61, of Lilburn, according to the GSP.
Simmons and her front passenger, Lauren Buteau, 28, of Gainesville, died in the crash. Troopers said they rushed A'lannah Hopkins, Simmon’s baby, to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Troopers said she later died.
No charges were filed in the crash.
