An overnight burglary turned SWAT standoff led to the arrest of three suspects.

Police were called out to a home in the 1200 block of Blairwood Court in South Fulton County by a person who saw a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of an out of town neighbor. Officers arrived just as the burglars were leaving the home, carrying items stolen from inside.  he thieves ran back into the house, and refused demands to surrender.

The Fulton SWAT team responded to the scene.  They used flash grenades trying to scare the burglars into giving up.  When that didn't work, negotiators unsuccessfully attempted to contact the suspects with both a bull horn and by calling the home phone.  Finally the department sent in a police dog and SWAT members to search the house.
