SAN JOSE, Calif. - A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Alum Rock in San Jose at 5:53 p.m. on Monday according to the USGS.
Viewers called the KTVU newsroom to report they had felt it all the way from San Francisco down the Peninsula and into the South Bay.
The USGS. originally reported the earthquake as a 4.4 bit minutes later downgraded it to a 4.1.
