DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - An eyesore in DeKalb County neighborhood is now gone.
Friday morning, crews demolished an abandoned house along Muirforest Drive near Stone Mountain.
The county says it's the first demolition of 2019 and it's part of a bigger effort to reduce blight across the county.
Back in 2017, the county allocated almost $4 million to go towards combating blight.
Since then, officials say they've cleared out almost 300 properties.
