Alabama meets Florida for SEC Championship
For the second year in a row, it's Gators vs. Tide in the Southeastern Conference Football Championship game. The Number 1 ranked University of Alabama meets the University of Florida Saturday December 3 at Atlanta's Georgia Dome.
The two teams will battle for the league title and the chance to represent the SEC in the College Football Playoff. Alabama is undefeated for the regular season, while Florida is 8-3.
Fans can enjoy the Dr Pepper SEC FanFare on Friday and Saturday at the Georgia World Congress Center. A pep rally for each team is scheduled a few hours before Saturday's game time at 4 p.m. For more information on the FanFare, click here.
A strict clear bag policy is in effect for the game. Fans should also expect enhanced security screening at the gate, so SEC officials urge fans to arrive early at the stadium.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the SEC Championship Game. All but two of those games were played at the Georgia Dome. The 1992 & 1993 games were played at Birmingham's Legion Field.
