Alpharetta chef rushed to hospital for emergency brain surgery, fundraiser launched
ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Chef Daniel, the founder of the beloved Japanese restaurant Little Tokyo in Alpharetta, was rushed to the hospital on Dec. 7 for emergency brain surgery, according to a GoFundMe page. While the surgery was successful, the medical expenses have reportedly been overwhelming for the chef and his family.
Despite the circumstances, Little Tokyo remains open to customers, with staff and supporters rallying to keep the business running. To help with the mounting medical costs, a fundraiser has been set up for those who wish to contribute.
In addition to direct donations, the restaurant is encouraging patrons to visit Little Tokyo and spread the word to others.
As of now, the fundraiser has collected just over $5,000 toward its goal of $300,000.
