Alpharetta, Milton SWAT standoff ends 'peacefully'
A SWAT situation at the IMT Deerfield apartments came to peaceful end Saturday with an arrest.
ALPHARETTA, Ga. - A hours-long SWAT standoff ended "peacefully" at an apartment complex in Alpharetta Saturday evening.
Milton police made the announcement just before 6 p.m., saying the situation was resolved around 4:45 p.m. after negotiations.
It appears a single male suspect was wanted. It's still not clear what for.
Several ambulances, paramedics and the City of Milton Fire Department also responded to the scene.
According to police, no one was injured during the SWAT situation at IMT Deerfield apartments.
Residents have been told they no longer need to shelter-in-place.
