Man wanted for Christmas Eve murder in Roswell
A man is wanted in Roswell for a murder that happened on Christmas Eve. Police say 47-year-old Blanca Sauer was found dead in a ditch near the Chattahoochee River.
ROSWELL, Ga. - Authorities are actively searching for 49-year-old Roberto Dominguez Soto, who is wanted in connection with the death of Blanca Sauer, a 47-year-old Sandy Springs woman found deceased on Christmas Eve.
The Roswell Police Department responded to a call around 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 24 after a passerby discovered a body in a ditch near Azalea Drive and Atlanta Street. Officers arrived to find Sauer, who had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Investigators believe her body was discarded in the area after the shooting.
"This is a heartbreaking situation, especially during the holiday season, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Ms. Sauer," said Roswell Police Chief James Conroy. "We are committed to bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of targeted violence."

Dominguez Soto, whom police identified as Sauer’s boyfriend, has been charged with murder, and warrants have been issued for his arrest. He is described as a 49-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. Authorities have warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
FOX 5 Atlanta also spoke to the woman's stepdaughter, Kelsie Adams, who said that Sauers was "an open, loving, accepting woman who would feed the homeless that would come into her restaurant." They also told FOX 5 that Soto was not necessarily Sauers' boyfriend, but someone she had dated.
In addition to the Roswell Police Department’s charges, Dominguez Soto is wanted by Interpol on firearms possession charges. Local law enforcement is working with state, federal, and international authorities to locate and apprehend him.
