GAINESVILLE, Ga. - An armed robbery near a college campus in Gainesville forced the school to go on lockdown.
Authorities said the University of North Georgia's Gainesville campus was on a soft lockdown after an armed robbery at the Kangaroo Express gas station, which is located in the 900 block of Queen City Parkway.
An official with the school said a suspect has been arrested and the lockdown has since been lifted.
The campus resumed to normal operations around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
