Armed suspect wearing "boonie hat" sought in Conyers robbery

CONYERS, Ga. - An armed suspect wearing a “boonie hat” allegedly robbed a grocery store in Conyers, and police need your help to identify him.

In May, authorities say a suspect, wearing a wide brimmed hat, robbed Fred’s Grocery on Sigman Road in Conyers. Armed with a handgun, police say the suspect ordered the clerk to open the register and, when the clerk refused, the suspect left with a cigarette carton and a toy.

The suspect is described as in his late 40’s to early 50’s, 5’7”-6’0” tall and weighing between 150-170 pounds.
