GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Hall County authorities have made an arrest in a fatal stabbing investigation. Eric Aurelio Reyes is behind bars, charged with malice murder.
Investigators believe the 25-year-old stabbed Evan Isaac Rosas Sunday night at The Preserve at Tumbling Creek apartment homes.
Police said Rosas was stabbed numerous times and died from his injuries. At this point, authorities are not sure what started the argument between the two individuals.
The apartment complex is close to the University of North Georgia. While the school is privately run, there are a lot of students who live at the apartment complex as part of their off-campus housing.
Residents said while it is disturbing what happened in their complex, they said they are glad to know an arrest has been made.
