EATONTON, Ga. - An arrest has been made in the death of a prominent community member in Eatonton.
Police have now ruled the death of 63-year-old Lydia Ivanditti a homicide and officers believe they know who killed her.
Frank Causey, 26, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Eatonton. He was charged with one count of murder.
Ivanditti was found dead in a bathtub inside her home on West Walnut Street on December 2.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called upon investigate the case, and based on autopsy results, police now believe she was strangled and drowned.
Officials said Causey was an acquaintance of Ivanditti.
They have not released a motive in this case, but said the case is still an active investigation.
