Assistant principal arrested in Polk County
POLK COUNTY, Ga. - An assistant principal at a Polk County elementary school faces several charges including a felony of cruelty to children in the second degree.
Polk County Police charged Matthew Johnson with allegedly using excessive force while restraining a child at Youngs Grove Elementary School in Cedartown.
School officials said they've suspended Johnson as they investigate the incident.
Johnson also faces battery and reckless conduct charges.
