Atlanta area non-profit held fundraiser for veterans, families

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - An Atlanta area non-profit organization is working to re-establish the lives of veterans and their families.

Warrior 2 Citizen Transition Program held a fundraising luncheon Thursday at the Cherokee Town Club in Atlanta.

Organizers said the purpose of the event is the raise money for programs for the soldiers.

Former NFL player Rocky Bleier attended the event and spoke about sacrifice soldiers make to serve the country.

Organizers from non-profit said they offer suicide prevention tips for the soldiers and their families.
