Atlanta Braves host wounded Warrior Classic Event for military veterans

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The Atlanta Braves hosted their 6th Annual Wounded Warrior Classic Event for military veterans Thursday.

It's all part of National Military Appreciation Month.

More than 80 veterans took part in on-field batting practice at SunTrust Park.

Attendees said they were honored to meet men and women who served the country.

Former Braves players Terry Harper and Jim Nash attended the fun-filled event.

Organizers also treated veterans to lunch and a tour of the ballpark.
