Atlanta Humane Society waives fees for some dogs this weekend

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Humane Society is hoping some folks want a dog to join their Memorial Day fun this year and every year that follows.

The organization is waiving fees for dogs 40 pounds or more through Sunday in hopes of finding forever homes for hundreds of dogs.

The Atlanta Humane Society said about 250 dogs meet the criteria and are hoping a weekend at the lake with a new buddy with cement a lifetime friendship.
