Police investigating shooting at scene of car crash
Atlanta police said they're investigating a shooting from early Tuesday morning, looking for what led to the car crash that was also at the scene.
ATLANTA - A downtown carjacking turned into a shooting and crash. Now, police are left putting together the pieces to the crime scene.
It happened just after 6 a.m. at the intersection of Ted Turner Drive and Peters Street.
Atlanta police said a man's car was being stolen. When he tried to get away, the carjackers began shooting at him.
That's when the driver crashed into another vehicle.
A FOX 5 Atlanta crew who went to the scene to provide updates and details confirmed there were numerous bullet shell casings on the ground.
Police have confirmed that while the shooting took place, no one was actually shot.
