Woman stabbed repeatedly in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - A person was stabbed in southwest Atlanta Saturday night.

Atlanta police said it happened at 10:15 p.m. near Campbellton Road SW and Delowe Drive SW. The victim was a 45-year-old woman who was stabbed multiple times. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Police said the attacker was a "known suspect." There has been no word of a motive in the case.

The Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating.
