Atlanta's Corey Tower honors Muhammad Ali
ATLANTA - Atlanta has a new a monumental tribute to Muhammad Ali.
The giant digital billboard on the Corey Tower, along the Downtown Connector, is displaying a photo of the champion in a moment of victory.
The massive tower, which was originally a Georgia Power steam plant facility, was purchased by Billy Corey in 1994. Corey's company provides advertising services at airports and on billboards across the country.
Corey Tower is located on M.L.K. Jr. Drive Northwest.
Ali passed away last Friday. The public Muslim funeral for the boxing legend and social activist is being held Thursday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam Mosque will hold an interfaith memorial service for Ali Thursday at 6 p.m.
