Autopsy reports released for teens murdered in Roswell

Disturbing new details have been released about the Roswell murders of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis. The two teens were found shot to death behind the Publix on Woodstock Road in early August.

Thursday, FOX 5 obtained the teens' autopsy reports from the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, which stated both victims were shot in the head.

According to the report for Henderson, the 17-year-old victim was discovered on the ground, nude "with her legs widely separated." She had a possible burn mark on the top of her right big toe and a detective reported a feather was in her hair.

The medical examiner said Davis was found wearing only shorts, "possibly posed in a cross-like position" with his arms extended at the shoulders. The autopsy report said his left big toe had a possible burn, similar to Henderson's injury.

Jeffrey Hazelwood, 20, of Roswell, is the prime suspect in the murders, according to police. In court documents obtained by FOX 5, investigators said Hazelwood followed the teens behind the grocery store and shot each of them in the head during the early morning hours of August 1.

According to arrest warrants, after the shootings, Hazelwood took jumper cables from Davis' vehicle and removed Henderson's debit card from her wallet, which was inside her pocket in her vehicle. Arrest warrants also state that Hazelwood used Henderson's debit card at the Flash Foods gas station on Highway 92 in Woodstock.

Hazelwood has been charged with two counts each of murder, aggravated assault, and theft by taking. He’s also charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a felony as well as financial transaction card fraud, which investigators said stems from the use of Henderson’s debit card at the gas station.

Hazelwood is being held at the Fulton County Jail with no bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday at the Fulton County Courthouse.

Henderson was a student at Roswell High School and Davis attended River Ridge High School in Woodstock.
