Back to school bash in Cobb County

COBB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - An Atlanta area organization lends parents a helping hand as the new school year approaches.

Amerigroup Community Care held its annual back to school bash Wednesday in Cobb County.

Parents and children received free supplies.

Organizers gave out paper, pencils, and book bags.

Kids also got their faces painted while their parents enjoyed snow cones and popcorn.

Parents said they are thankful for the head start.

Organizers also offered free health screenings Wednesday.
