Two young boys were just trying to catch a dog, but when they ran into their neighbor's yard, police said that neighbor came out with a gun. Klaus Wilson, 60, was arrested and booked into the Bartow County jail over the weekend.

"I did see some dogs in the yard, I saw the neighbor come out, he was pretty mad," said Daniel Tello who lives across the street.

Tello was alarmed to hear what happened next. Witnesses told police when he saw the children, ages 11 and 14 years old, chased the dog into his yard. Wilson was yelling and swearing at them. Neighbors said Wilson then went back into his house and came out with a gun. One neighbor told FOX 5 News he saw Wilson standing on his porch pointing a handgun toward the kids who were holding the dog.

When police showed up, Wilson told them he felt threatened by the dog. Wilson was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Tello said he often sees the boys playing.

"I see them quite often, they run up and down the street playing ball. They seem like good kids, so I don't know why he would do that," said Tello.

Other neighbors said Wilson never liked it when kids played on his grass. They said he would often fuss and holler at them. Tello said he never thought it would escalate into a weapon being drawn.

"I could never imagine him coming out with a gun, that's kind of crazy," said Tello.
