BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. - The Bartow County Sheriff's office arrested a man in Cartersville, GA after a domestic violence shooting. Police say they responded to a domestic violence call and was told a man had been shot.
When deputies arrived at the home they saw John Vaughn suffering from a gun shot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment. According to police, Vaughn's wife Traci shot the gun. At the time of the incident Vaughn was an off duty reserve officer with the Kennesaw Police Department.
A police investigation later found that John Vaughn was the primary aggressor. The Bartow County Sheriff's Office arrested him Wednesday, October 25th. Vaughn is being charged with aggravated assault and battery. He is being held at the Bartow County Jail waiting a bond hearing.
