Body identified as missing Alabama woman

OZARK, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Alabama say they have positively identified the body of a woman who went missing from Skipperville.

The Dale County Sheriff's Office says in a statement that 49-year-old Virginia "Ginger" Sellers was last seen Nov. 12 walking toward the H&W Convenience Store near Highway 105 in Skipperville. On March 18, a body was found in Echo near the Choctawhatchee River. The body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences and a homicide investigation began.

After conducting DNA comparisons, the ADFS positively identified the body as Sellers.

Further information, like how Sellers may have died, has not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
