Duluth Police seized what drug agents estimate could be $10,000 to $15,000 worth of ecstasy pills, and are concerned the dealers marketed and sold the drugs to local youth.

Officers seized bags of hundreds of ecstasy pills in colorful candy form. Drug agents tell FOX 5, dealers disguise dangerous drugs such as ecstasy and its other form "Molly" to cater to teenagers, and purposely disguise the drug to hide it from parents or watchful adults.

Body-camera video of the bust on September 8 shows officers investigating a vehicle outside the Racetrac on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard after someone called 911 about a dog in a hot car. Officers arrived, smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle, discovering a total of 2.15 pounds of ecstasy, marijuana, and possibly cannabis oil.

Drug agents estimate one ecstasy pill alone, known as a "party" drug, can sell for $10 to $20 on the street.

Terrell Magbie, 27, was arrested on charges of trafficking ecstasy and possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Shameeka Hires, 39, was cited on possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Police are warning parents to always be on the lookout for deceptive drugs in their kids' possessions, and advise them to search through belongings, ask questions, and check for signs if they could be "high."

Police also warn parents of small children to teach them to be vigilant about ingesting anything that appears to be candy.

Investigators are working to track the sales of the drugs, and if and where drugs were sold to local children. Anyone with information is asked to contact Duluth Police at crimetip@duluthpd.com
