FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - Forsyth County officials have issued a boil water advisory for water customers in specific areas following a damaged water main.
The advisory affects residents on Holtzclaw Road between Pilgrim Mill Road and Holtzclaw Drive, including Chattahoochee Road from Holtzclaw Road to Stone Creek Circle.
Key locations impacted include Fire Station 5, Chattahoochee Elementary School, and several surrounding streets.
The affected streets include:
- Poplar Lane
- Maple Lane
- Forest Circle
- Cherry Lane
- Dogwood Circle
- Southlake Lane, Drive, Court, and Circle
- Adams Road
- Duckcove Way
- Lyles Way
- Bishops Walk
- Reserve Overlook Way
- Stone Creek Circle
- Brook Drive
- Dorothy Drive
Boil water advisory signs have been posted, and water service is being gradually restored.
As part of the process, water lines are being flushed, and bacterial testing is underway at the treatment plant.
Residents are advised to boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil.
