Bond denied for teen accused of brutal murder of grandmother
FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Two teens charged in the murder of a woman who was beaten to death will remain behind bars.
Jared Kemp and his girlfriend, De'asia Ra'meke Page, both 18, went before a Fulton County judge Tuesday.
Page's attorney's requested bond which the judge denied.
Authorities accuse the teens of killing Toni Abad last December.
According to the testimony, they tried to carjack her after she gave Page a ride.
But when Abad fought back, investigators said she was beaten with a bat
Abad's family was in the court Tuesday and said seeing the teens was painful.
The victim’s family's plan to honor her life and spread her ashes next month.
