Boy decorates cake for a great cause

A Las Vegas boy with muscular dystrophy got the chance to decorate a very special cake at Carlo's Bakery, home of the famous Cake Boss.

Liam Nichols, 11, is an aspiring chef. Carlo's Bakery welcomed him to decorate a cake for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Gala.

He painted designs for the camp themed cake in honor of the gala supporting a camp for MD kids.

Christina Nasso, head baker, guided Nichols and helped him create cake designs. Each step brought a little smile out of Nichols!

"To see him happy and to have him happy at the end of the day that means everything. Somebody who's interested in something that I do. Sometimes you don't think it's that important, but it's pretty awesome," said Nasso.

Nichols said it felt good because everyone was so nice.

"It was great because this is what I want to do when I grow up," said Nichols.
