Boy gets to be honorary police chief for the day
DOUGLAS, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - The city of Douglas has a new police chief! Well, at least temporarily.
Chief Bennett became the city's honorary chief.
He told a corporal with the department he wanted to be a police officer one day and so they made it happen.
The department, which is in South Georgia, posted pictures of Bennett on their Facebook page writing that if they got enough shares and likes, they'd promote him.
In less than 24 hours, the post got more than a thousand shares, 2,000 likes, and more than 50,000 views
So, Bennett became chief for the day.
