Canton man convicted of molesting 8-year-old child

CANTON, Ga. - A Canton man was convicted on Thursday of molesting an 8-year-old child.
A Cherokee County jury found Xavier Matthew Jennings, 22, guilty of two counts of aggravated child molestation stemming from an investigation that started in 2018.
The jury deliberated for nearly two hours before coming to its unanimous decision on August 29.
A sentencing hearing is set for Sept. 4.
