Cobb County roadway reopens after crash involving SUV, tractor trailer

MARIETTA, Ga. - A section of Canton Road in Marietta was shut down Tuesday afternoon after an SUV became stuck under a flatbed tractor trailer.

Canton Road between Sandy Plains Road and Ruby Street, just south of where the road merges with the Canton Connector, was closed for several hours because of the accident

SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene at around 5 p.m. and saw the tractor-trailer was attempting to turn into the opposing lane of traffic.

The tractor-trailer was blocking both lanes.

Marietta Police say the driver of the SUV suffered life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
