CAU surprises high school students with acceptance letters and scholarships
ATLANTA - Fifteen Atlanta high school students got the surprise of a lifetime when admissions officers from Clark Atlanta University hand delivered them acceptance letters. Nine of the students received academic scholarships to CAU, totaling approximately $200,000.
“At the end of the day, our mission is to transform students’ lives- one student at a time.” Says Dr. Michael Marshall, associate VP of Enrollment Services.
Ten of the students go to Westlake High, three attend KIPP Academy, and the last two go to Washington High.
Next year CAU plans to surprise even more students with acceptance letters.
“By extending acceptance offers to these young scholars, we are setting them on a transformative path to success.” Says Marshall.
