ATLANTA - It's that time of year again and there are multiple events and other ways to celebrate Christmas and the holiday season in metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

EVENTS
The Winter Lantern Festival kicks off Nov. 10 at Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. The festival features more than 1,000 lanterns inspired by Chinese myths, legends and the zodiac. All lanterns are handmade by artisans with decades of experience in their trade bringing magical folklorical creatures to life. Tickets are $21.99 for adults, $17.99 for children.
Winter Wonderland: Celebrations & Traditions Around the World is back at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History through Jan. 7. This dazzling holiday experience spans two floors of the museum, showcasing different decorated trees and display cases that recognize various celebrations, events and cultural traditions from around the world. Winter Wonderland will be open during normal daytime operation, as well as on select evenings during WildWoods: AGLOW!
Winter Wonderland Spectacular at Illuminarium kicks off Nov. 16 and runs through Jan. 6. The immersive holiday experience includes Christmas magic, nutcrackers, Santa's winter palace, Northern Lights, candy cane carousels and more. General admission is $45.
Frosty Fun is taking over Downtown Duluth for the holidays. Events include live ice carving on Nov. 18; roller skating on a "frosty" roller-skating rink on Nov. 18, 19 and 20; Love the Butterfly Pop-up on Nov. 21 and 22; frosty mini golf on Nov. 24; Whoville Pop-Up on Nov. 26; winter games on Dec. 10; snow mazing on Dec. 19 and 20; a toboggan tunnel on Dec. 21, 22 and 23; a snow playground on Dec. 27; giant snow slide on Dec. 28; and an inflatable wonderland Dec. 29 and 30.
Holiday in the Park at Six Flags of Georgia is happening select evenings Nov. 18 through Jan. 3. There will be dazzling lights, visits with Santa Claus and his elves, holiday-themed attractions, holiday music and more. Tickets start at $40 plus parking and fees.
The Georgia Festival of Trees is happening at the Georgia World Congress Center Nov. 18 through Dec. 26. The festival will feature dozens of decorated trees, wreaths, centerpieces and nativities for auction; live music and entertainment; the Christmas Brick Challenge; kids' activities and games; boutique gift shops; food carts and more.
The Block Christmas Train & Villages is currently on display at Tannery Row Ale House in Burfod. Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Donations benefit The Block, an organization that has served more than 80,000 meals in the Buford area. The display features roughly 270 feet of track, more than 175 houses, churches, small villages and farmlands. There's also a mountain range, Walmart and Home Depot, Santa Land, waterfall with actual water, and.
Dahlongea's Old Fashioned Christmas celebration begins with the official Lighting of the Square on Nov. 24. During the annual celebration, there will be carriage rides, visits with Santa, food trucks, Christmas market, Festival of Trees, a 5K Reindeer Run, Christmas caroling, Christmas cookie walks, wine tastings and Christmas paintings and much more. Thousands of lights and mistletoe will adorn downtown Daholongea through the first weekend of January.
Christkindl Market at Buckhead Village return Nov. 24 and will remain open through Dec. 24. The German holiday market will feature more than 50 retail, food and beverage vendors. There will be mulled wine, hot chocolate, Bavarian pretzels and schnitzel, photos with Santa, ornaments, wooden toys and other Christmas gifts and Christmas-themed items.
The Snow Days of Christmas is happening Dec. 1-31 at Children's Museum of Atlanta. There will be sock skating, interactive season fun in the art studio, storytime in a giant igloo, and special performances.
The Point ATL is hosting a Holiday Tree Celebration Dec. 1 through Dec. 24. Vote for your favorite tree decorated by local nonprofits. The winning nonprofit receives a $500 donation and runner-ups will receive $250. A Menorah Lighting Celebration will take place at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Enjoy hot cocoa, live music, holiday crafts and more with several tenants during a weekend celebration, Dec. 9 and 10.
Eventide Brewing on Grant Street is hosting a Letters to Santa Party for the whole family from noon to 6 p.m. Dec. 16. The event will feature a letter-writing station, gingerbread house building competition ($20 entry), an appearance by Santa, a holiday gift market, exclusive brews, live holiday tunes, a Cuban Christmas feast and more. Admission is free.
Wood's Chapel BBQ in Summerhill will host its Winterfest from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 16. There will be entertainment by the Maynard Jackson High School Choir and Glee Club to the Neighborhood Ballet. There also will be a gingerbread house decorating contest, an ugly sweater contest, a tree lighting ceremony and giveaways. The gingerbread house decorating contest entry fee is $20, and the entry form is online.
Holidays on the Home Front is happening 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at Pickett's Mill Battlefield Historic Site in Dallas. There will be crafts, games, and decorating for all to enjoy. Santa will be at the event between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Admission is $3 to $6.
Monday Night Garage is inviting families to its Winter Wonderland on Dec. 17. There will be holiday-themed brews and cocktails, a holiday train through the Upside Down, photos with Santa, and more.
Lean on Me -- A Solstice Celebration in Song and Dance is taking place 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21 on the second floor of Central Food Hall at Ponce City Market. The festive evening will celebrate the winter solstice and feature a dance performance from Callanwolde School of Dance’s Pro Prime Movers, under the direction of Jarylann Warner, with music from the renowned Ebenezer Baptist Church Choir & Band. After the performance, the festivities will continue with a magical evening featuring a gounding ceremony, tarot card readings and more at The Yard at Ponce City Market.
Peachtree Church will hold its Christmas Eve service at Fox Theatre at 1 and 5 p.m. Dec. 24. The services will features Peachtree's choir and orchestra with special guest Timothy Miller; a Christmas pageant with live animals; and more.
Ponce City Market will host a Kwanzaa Celebration at 6 p.m. Dec. 26. The celebration will take place on the 2nd floor outside of The Village Retail and feature a storyteller, singer, pianist and spoken word artists.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS/DISPLAYS
Dixie Speedway in Woodstock is hosting the Magic of Lights Drive-Thru Holiday Lights Spectacular Nov. 17 through Dec. 31. Open 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Entry starts at $22 per vehicle. Magic of Lights features more than 2 million lights and classic holiday displays, including Winter Wonderland, 12 Days of Christmas, Toyland Festival, and Reindeer Road. There will also be a 200-foot-long Enchanting Tunnel of Lights.
Stone Mountain Christmas is happening Nov. 11 through Jan. 22, 2024 (select dates). Stone Mountain Christmas features millions of dazzling lights, immersive walk-thru experiences, and visits with popular holiday characters. The Magical Christmas Drone Show features 250 drones creating holiday-themed aerial formations and mesmerizing displays, adding a futuristic touch to the holidays. The World's Largest Christmas Light Show features favorite holiday songs, amazing special effects and fireworks. There will also be visits by Santa, carolers and a sing-a-long on the train.
IllumiNights at the Zoo presented by Georgia Power is happening Nov. 16 through Jan. 14. Zoo Atlanta is transformed into a nighttime wonderland by lanterns and special lighting. While most animals go indoors at night, a few species who typically spend time in their habitats after dark may be visible. Non-member tickets start at $20.99 for adults, $17.99 for children and seniors.
Glow Light Show & Festival is taking place Nov. 17 through Dec. 31 at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Drive through an immersive light show synchronized to music. You can also stroll through the holiday festival and enjoy food, rides, and activities for the young and old. Admission starts at $32.99.
Atlanta Botanical Garden's Garden Lights, Holiday Nights kicks off Nov. 18. This year's exhibit features a 144-foot-long wintery white skynet by Patrick Shearn of Petic Kinetics; a larger flock of illuminated metal birds and deer; the return of White Rabbit at the Skyline Garden pond; the first glimpse of the Garden's Alice's Wonderland mosaiculture exhibit returning in 2024; the world's largest synchronized light curtain; and more. Value night tickets start at $27.95 for adults, $24.95 for children ages 3 to 12.
Margaritatville's Lakeside Lights Spectacular opens Nov. 22 and ends Jan. 3. Take a magical walk through an amazing lighting extravaganza with festive seasonal music. The Tipsy Elf will serve cocktails, hot cocoa and sweet treats in the middle of the attraction. Cost is $19.99 general admission.
Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta is ready for Christmas. Their Christmas Wild & Bright attraction features over 2 million lights, immersive experiences and mouth-watering holiday-themed treats. Attractions include Santa's Snowstorm Party, Candy Cane Express, Tunnel of Stars, Gingerbread Village and Carol of the Animals Lake Show. Additional activities include whimsical character experience, reindeer fun, live shows, and Brunch with Santa on select dates. Ends Dec. 31.
Winter WonderLights at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens opens Nov. 22 and ends Dec. 30. The half-mile trail features Winter Wondercave, Jingle Bell Lane, Northern Lights and a Cone Tree Forest. Guests will be able to purchase marshmallows for roasting s'mores over an open fire and enjoy hot chocolate or cold refreshments. On select nights from Jan. 4 through 7, Wonder Lights will allow visitors to experience the light show trail while grooving to disco hits. Tickets are $15 general admission.
Lights of Life at Life University in Marietta features a curated light display, pony rides, train rides, a petting zoo and concessions.
Holiday Lights of Hope at Hobgood Park in Woodstock features more than 2 million dazzling lights, vendors and visits with Santa.
The Holiday Tree Trail at Atlanta Botanical Garden Gainesville is happening Nov. 28 through Dec. 31. Six-foot Fraser Firs will be decorated by members, local businesses, families and organizations. This year's theme is "My Favorite Things."
Lockerly in Lights in Milledgeville is a drive- and walk-through experience featuring one-mile of holiday lights. Visitors can drive through on Fridays and walk through on Saturdays. Open through Dec. 23.
Dunwoody Parks and Recreation is bringing back Holiday Lights to Dunwoody's Brook Run Park. This year’s display will feature 85,000 lights that will shine nightly in the park through Dec. 31. The theme is Après-ski with a giant snow globe and Adirondack chairs, ski lift photo ops, faux fire pits, a faux snow factory and mountain for children to play on, and a glow-in-the-dark seesaw. The Mega Tree will return with animated lights synched to holiday music.
Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Resort & Gardens in Pine Mountain features more than 10 million lights. The brand-new Tree of Traditions is a 40-foot animated tree covered in thousands of high-definition lights. Fantasy in Lights includes a seven-mile scenic drive with 17 festive Christmas scenes synchronized to favorite holiday songs. Scenes include thirty dancing trees at Celebration Lake, gigantic holiday wreaths, the stunning Snowflake Valley, and the enchanting Tunnel of Lights. The Christmas Village features a 40-foot tall Christmas tree, a 75-foot-long Christmas tunnel, and larger-than-life Christmas scenes featuring gigantic snowflakes and towering nutcrackers. And, Christmas Tree Lane features dozens of perfectly decorated trees. Overnight packages start at $199. In addition, one-day value, prime and super prime ticket online tickets are also available, providing families who live nearby the opportunity to visit and save.
Pettit Creek Farms in Cartersville features a drive-thru light experience along with a petting zoo; camel and pony rides; s'mores, funnel cakes and hot chocolate; and Christmas trees for sale.
The Macon Christmas Lights Extravaganza features more than 1 million lights spanning 4 city blocks moving in time to music arranged and performed by Macon Pops. Each show lasts about 45 minutes and start at the top of each hour: 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Nov. 23 through Jan. 7.
Holiday Lights at Barnsley Resort features more than 1 million lights and festive decor in the historic 1800s manor house ruins, surrounding gardens and English-style village. Open Nov. 25 through Jan. 1.
World of Coca-Cola has officially "decked the halls" and is ready to help guests get into the holiday spirit. The iconic Atlanta attraction makes the perfect holiday outing with friends and family. The World of Coca-Cola features holiday decor throughout the exhibits and outside in Pemberton Place; there's fun photo opps throughout the attraction, including with the Polar Bear; there are plenty of holiday-themed items in the gift shop; and there's a brand-new attraction -- the interactive Beverage Lab -- for guests to explore.
RESIDENTIAL LIGHT DISPLAYS
The Duluth Christmas House on Mockingbird Circle is a free family residential display. The display is drive-by only and they are accepting non-perishable food items for Duluth Ministry Co-Op. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. nightly through Dec. 30 except when raining.
The Gaddy Family Christmas Light Extravaganza is back on Sandy Road in Fayetteville. Open 6 to 10 p.m. nights, weather permitting. It is a 7-acre drive-thru light display. Admission is free but they are collecting toys for Toys for Tots.
The "Lights of Joy" Christmas display on Ben King Road in Kennesaw is a walk-through display that features more than 1.2 million lights on 246 trees and displays. The lights are on from 6 to 11 p.m. daily. The Yule Slide Trombone Choir will be performing at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 20 and 21. Admission is $5 per person.
The Fox Family Christmas Lights display on Clary Hill Court in Roswell features thousands of lights, music, two snow machines, and more. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus often stop by for a visit.
The Atkinson Family Christmas Lights on Riverwood Landing in Dallas features a synchronized light show.
The Felix Family Christmas Lights features thousands of lights synchronized to a variety of Christmas tunes. Feel free to park in the cul-de-sac to watch the show. This is a popular display in the neighborhood so pack your patience.
The Hrockin Hranicky Christmas Light Show is back on Rivers Run Trace in Acworth. Thousands of lights are synchronized to music. This is a drive-by display. Donations accepted for Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
The Whole Lot of Christmas display in Stone Mountain on Smokerise Summit has been around for more than 25 years. The display features thousands of lights and visits from Santa Claus.
Riley's Rockin' Christmas Display on Palladium Drive NW in Kennesaw is participating in the Cobb EMC Light Display Contest again this year. This is the 14th year for the display. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. during the week and 6 to 10 p.m. weekends and week before Christmas. Static display some nights.
The Smoot Family Christmas Light Show on Autumn Drive in Acworth is raising money for the Lupus Foundation of Georgia. Tune your radio to 90.7FM when visiting.
The Lights on Jubilee display on Jubilee Court in Powder Springs features lights synchronized to music. Hours are 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. daily.
The Woodruff Family Christmas Lights display features a holiday light show with dancing Christmas lights and inflatables. It can be found on Seamus Way in Powder Springs. New this year -- fire effects!
The Portwood Family Christmas display in Hiram features massive inflatables, thousands of lights and even a snow machine. They are collecting canned goods for Warehouse of Hope. Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. during the week and 6 to 11 p.m. weekends. Hot chocolate available some nights.
The Stanfield's Giant Christmas Tree drive-thru display in Tyrone features a 43-foot-Christmas tree with 80,000 lights that are synchronized to music. This year, they are featuring a patriotic song and 30 American flags on tree. The display is lit every night regardless of weather from 5L30 to 11 p.m. In addition to the tree, there are a variety of decorations in the yard and a Dicken's Village Display with over 150 Dept. 56 houses in the garage.

SANTA CLAUS
The Avenue West Cobb in Marietta will host visits with Santa starting Nov. 29. Santa will make his grand entrance that day in a sports car. That day and on every Wednesday until Christmas, guests will have the opportunity to capture photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who have been celebrating the holidays at the center for over 20 years. Photos are self-taken and offered at no cost. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for photos from 5 – 7 p.m. near Seasonal Designs in Suite 360. Other holiday characters will also be available for photos on Dec. 3, 9, 13 and 17.
A Day with Santa in the City of South Fulton is happening from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 9 at Creekl Park at 2775 Creel Road. There will be carriage rides, live entertainment, refreshments, festive inbflatables, toys and photos with Santa.
Families are invited to visit Santa at Lenox Square daily through Dec. 24. He will be available for photos between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Reservations are encouraged.
Santa will be spreading holiday cheer at Scofflaw Brewing Co.'s MacArthur taproom from 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 16. Scofflaw will also show a favorite holida-time movie. It's a surprise, but here’s a hint...you’ll want to make sure you’re not Home Alone.
SKATING RINKS
The outdoor ice-skating rink, Skate the Station, at Atlantic Station will be in operation Nov. 17 through Jan. 15, 2024.
The Rink at Park Tavern will open Thanksgiving Day and remain open until Jan. 15, 2024. The ice skating rink features a heated tent, state-of-the-art sound system, seasonal cocktails, fire pits, hot chocolate, s'mores and more.
Ponce City Market's Skate the Sky features a 3,500-square-foot ice skating rink. Special family hours every Saturday and Sunday during the daytime and adults only skating (21 and over) after 5 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. Open Nov. 24-Jan. 7, 2024.
The Avalon Ice Skating Rink is open through Jan. 15. The family-friendly ice-skating rink has plenty of seatig, an indoor soft playground for little ones, nearby bathrooms, and free parking.
Frosty's Ice Rink at Lake Lanier is open until Feb. 25. Other activities at Chill Snow Island include snow tubing, snowball fights, amusement rides, hot cocoa and seasonal cocktails, and a bakeshop.
Blue Ridge on Ice is back at Blue Ridge Farmers Market. Concession stand items available for purchase. Open daily through Jan. 7.
Sugar Hill's Ice Rink is open through Feb. 18. There's free parking, free skate trainers for kids, music, snow machines and more. Closed for private events on certain days.
Old Town Conyers' ice skating rink features real ice. Snack bar onsite. Open through Feb. 11, 2024.

Skate City Springs in Sandy Springs will be open Nov. 24 through Jan. 21. It's a 5,000-square-foot rink. Special hours while kids are out of school and on holidays. MUSIC
The Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra and Chorus present a concert featuring winter and holiday music at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 at Gas South District in Duluth.
The Celtic Woman: Christmas Symphony Tour 2023 performs with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Dec. 21-22 at Atlanta Symphony Hall. Tickets start at $49.50.
THEATER/DANCE
"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" returns to the Center for Puppetry Arts Nov. 8 through Dec. 31. This faithful adaptation of the beloved 1964 stop-motion special speaks to the misfit in all of us. "A Christmas Carol" is returning to the Coca-Cola Stage for its 34th season Nov. 11 through Dec. 24. The adaption by David H. Bell will feature Andrew Benator in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Woodstock Arts will present "A Christmas Carol" Dec. 1 through 24 at the Woodstock Arts Theatre. This adaptation is also for those who want a good old-fashioned ghost-story, wrapped into a classic Broadway-style musical! Perfect for audiences of all ages. Tickets start at $18.
Shakespeare Tavern in Midtown Atlanta will present Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" Dec. 2 through 23. On a fateful Christmas Eve, Scrooge will learn the meaning of Christmas spirit with song and holiday cheer. Tickets start at $20.
Horizon Theatre is presenting a double feature of holiday magic all December long. The Inman Park theater will present two distinct performance offerings for the community this season: a night of hilarious, Hallmark-approved improv and a family musical inspired by the beloved character Madeline. "Y'allmark Christmas: An Improvised Holiday Movie LIVE ONSTAGE" will be presented Thursdays through Sundays Dec. 8-30 (no show on Christmas Eve). "Madeline's Christmas," featuring 24 local girls along with professional actors, will be presented weekends Dec. 2-31.
Atlanta Ballet will present "The Nutcracker" Dec. 8 through 26 at the Cobb Energy Centre. Atlanta Ballet’s larger-than-life production is a winter wonderland where falling snowflakes, twirling flowers and spinning stars guide Marie and her Nutcracker Prince through a dream-like world of delights – amplified by traditional stage magic and state-of-the-art technology. Tickets start at $30.
Southern Ballet Theatre will present "The Nutcracker: Dec. 14-17 at Lawrenceville Arts Center in downtown Lawrenceville.
"NUTCRACKER! Magical Christmas Ballet" returns to The Fox Theatre on Dec. 15 and 16. This year marks the 31st annual North American tour of this beloved family tradition, created by world-renowned ballet virtuosos, that brings together and illuminates the finest in the field. The 2023 production showcases a record number of international talent, starring principal dancers from the great opera houses of Ukraine and 40 world-class artists from Japan, Italy, Turkey, and more. Tickets start at $34 plus.
The Free Chapel in Gainesville will present an all-new "Christmas Spectacular" Dec. 15 through 17 featuring music, live animals and stunning visual effects that bring the story of the Savior to life. There will be three showtimes: 7 p.m. Dec. 17; noon, 3 and 6 p.m. Dec. 16 and 9 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 17. Admission is free.

Cozy Christmas Coffeehouse on Dec. 16 in Marietta at the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church will feature performances by Olympia Papageorgiou and special guests Nick Watson and Tyle Hacker. There will also be appetizers and drinks.

HOLIDAY MARKETS
The Roswell Christkindl Market at Bulloch Hall is open through Dec. 24. It is open 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 12:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday; and 12:30 to 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. The market features multiple vendors, food, photos with Santa and more.
Halfway Crooks is hosting Boevenmarkt every Friday through Sunday through Dec. 23. The holiday market features more than 50 local artists. Shoppers can also enjoy food and various drinks such as beer and hot chocolate. There will be live music on Dec. 9 and 17 as well as movies on Friday evenings. A kid-focused day on Dec. 10 boasts cookie and ornament workshops along with a children’s holiday jam. The Boevenmarkt will take place in the Biergarten.
The Inman Park Christmas Market is back Dec. 15-17 at the Trolley Barn for another year of spreading holiday joy. There will be food, drinks, Santa visits and the chance to find unique gifts for all your friends, family, or even yourself!
Last Minute Krampus is happening 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 16 at Town Green Market Pavilion on Avondale Road. More than 20 artists will be offering a variety of items (all under $100). Additionally, there will be a photoshoot fundraiser, tarot and oracle readings, gift wrapping services, and an appearance by the Atlanta Ghostbusters.
Indie Studios is hosting a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 16 at 190 Ottley Drive NE in Atlanta. There will be local artists, food trucks, holiday-themed beverages, a gift-wrapping station, photos with Santa and more.
A holiday market is happening 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 16 on the Duluth Town Green. There will be over local artisan vendors with products ranging from jewelry to macramé and Yule Logs to handbags. There will also be free crafts, a visit from The Grinch and a few Who's, caroling with the Who's around the Christmas tree, cookies & cocoa with Santa and more.

The very merry hotel suites are inspired by the most wonderful time of the year and are decorated with Christmas trees, stockings, wreaths, festive bedding and more. Gift wrapping supplies, milk and cookies, and Christmas movies will be available in the penthouses. The Georgian Terrace is giving 50% of the proceeds to the S0utherly Foundation, which helps local veteran and their families. Hotel Alba is donating 10% of the proceeds. EVENTS THAT HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED
Holiday events at Lenox Square includes a hot chocolate crawl from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 9. The event kicks off outside Lenox Square's main entrance. Attendees can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and appetizers, a free memento and live music. Hot chocolate crawler can also enjoy hot chocolate at four additional stops at sister property, Phipps Plaza. Mirror ballerinas will dazzle last-minute shoppers from 2 to 8 p.m. Dec. 23.
Gainesville will light up a 25-foot metal chicken sculpture for the holidays during its Jingle Mingle on Nov. 18. There will also be kiddie train rides, carriage rides, open houses in historic buildings, live music, refreshments, festival of trees, s'more stations, inflatable slides and more.
Atlantic Station's Celebrate the Station is an interactive experience with festive video, holiday lights, swirls of snow and a Christmas tree show at the top of every hour from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 through 25. Guests can also shop for unique gifts from Atlanta’s most talented artisans on Saturday (11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.) and Sunday (12 p.m. to 7 p.m.) at the Creator’s Market on the Atlantic Green.
Winter House 2023 is happening Nov. 25-26, Nov. 30-Dec. 2 and Dec. 7-10 at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. There will be art workshops, an artist market, storytimes, hot chocolate and adult beverages, Santa visits, and fire pits to roast s'mores. Entrance to house is free, tickets may be required for performances.
The Wren's Nest, historic home of author Joel Chandler Harris, is hosting Home for the Holidays tours from Nov. 25 to Dec. 16. The historic home will be decorated for the holidays and guided tours will be offered. Family-friendly storytimes will take place each Saturday at 1 p.m. There will also be complimentary cookies and cocoa.
Little 5 Points Community Center is hosting a Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 2. There will be local vendors, artists, and live performers. There will also be caroling and arts and crafts.
The 31st annual Invitational Christmas Parade in Dallas is happening Dec. 2. The parade starts at 1 p.m. in downtown Dallas and will feature multiple entries. The parade will happen rain or shine.
The City of Stone Mountain is hosting a Christmas festival and parade on Dec. 2 in Stone Mountain Village on Main Street starting at 4 p.m. There will be a kiddie train, face painting, live music, balloon twister, local arts and crafts, and hot cocoa, cider and cookies.
The annual Christkindlmarket takes over the town of Helen during the Christmas season. Multiple vendors offer gifts, decorations, candied treats and more. The town is decorated with millions of lights and other festive items. Happening Nov. 25 and 26 and Dec. 2 and 3.
Winterfest 2023 is happening in the Virginia Highland neighborhood Dec. 8 and 9. There will be a Tour of Lights Block Party on Dec. 8 featuring the neighborhood's holiday decorations, live music, food and beverages. The Jingle Jog will take place on Dec. 9 followed by a holiday parade. There will also be a holiday gifts market and kids corner.
The 41st annual Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes is happening Dec. 9 and 10. There are 9 decorated homes on this year's tours. There will also be an artists market & bake sale. The annual event is a fundraiser of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
The Carter Presidential Museum is offering free admission for families for a special holiday family event on Dec. 9. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will holiday crafts for kids. The Pace Performers Children's Choir from Kay R. Pace School of the Arts will perform at 11 a.m. There will be a free showing of "It's A Wonderful Life" at 1 p.m. Also, enjoy free tours of the special exhibition "You Are Cordially Invited: Holidays at the Carter White House" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The City of Decatur is hosting a bonfire and marshmallow roast for the holidays at 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at Decatur Square. Hosted by Decatur Business Association and supervised by Decatur Fire Department. Admission is free but registration requested.
Thomasville's Victorian Christmas is happening Dec. 14 and 15. The downtown area will come alive with Victorian performers, carolers and musicians. There will be live reindeer carriage rides, a live nativity, marshmallow and chestnut roasting, plein air artists and more.
Ponce City Market is celebrating Little Candles Day, a Colombian holiday, on Dec. 7. A candle-making workshop is being held at Linwood Court Candles & Decor at 5 p.m. There will also be a drop-in lantern making activity for all ages at Misfit Wrapping Co. A lantern lighting ceremony will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on The Yard.
The Atlanta History Center is lighting its Christmas tree at 7 p.m. Nov. 17. Come early for dinner from Souper Jenny. There will be special performances, music, cash bar, photos with Santa and more. Tickets start at $20.
The City of Alpharetta is lighting its tree on Nov. 18 at Alpharetta City Hall. There will be live music, snow flurries, vignettes from the Metropolitan Ballet's The Nutcracker, and a visit by Santa.
Atlantic Station will officially light its Christmas tree during its Light The Station event on Nov. 18. The event will begin with a DJ at 5:30 p.m., Winter Wonderland Parade at 7 p.m., and a drum off between Atlanta Drum Academy and Abominable Marching Band at 7:30 p.m. The Christmas tree lighting will take place at 7:25 p.m.
Newnan will light its Christmas tree on Nov. 24. Santa will arrive downtown in a fire truck and will immediately light the Christmas tree located on Court House Square.
Snellville's 42th annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade is happening Nov. 25 on the Towne Green. There will be lighted floats, tractors and trucks in the parade starting at 5:30 p.m.
Loganville's annual Christmas parade and tree lighting is happening Nov. 25 starting at 6 p.m. The parade will feature more than 75 entries from local businesses, civic groups and more. Santa will ride in a fire truck.
Marietta's Christmas tree lighting is scheduled for Nov. 30. There will be performances by local school and church choirs and visits from Santa during the event, which starts at 4 p.m.
The City of Roswell will host its annual lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Heart of Roswell Park on Dec. 1. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. and there will be live performances by Roswell Youth Theater, River Eves Elementary School, Crabapple Middle School and Centennial High School; an appearance by Santa Claus; and the lighting ceremony with Mayor Kurt Wilson.
The City of Norcross will light its Christmas tree on Dec. 1. There will also be carriage rides and photos with Santa during the event.
Violinist, activist and Kennedy Center honoree Midori will perform at Emory University’s Schwartz Center for Performing Arts with the distinguished Swiss chamber orchestra Festival Strings Lucerne, under the leadership of Music Director Daniel Dodds, at 8 p.m. Nov. 16. The concert will feature one of Robert Schumann's last works—his Violin Concerto in D Minor, and Beethoven’s Romance No. 2 in F Major, which she recorded with Festival Strings Lucerne for her 2020 Beethoven album (Warner Classics). Rounding out the orchestra's program are Honegger's Pastorale d’été; Caprice IV, "Es muss sein!" by Richard Dubugnon; and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, performed by Festival Strings Lucerne. Tickets start at $35 plus.
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Movies in Concert series will feature "Home Alone" on Nov. 25 and 26 and "The Holiday" on Dec. 16 and 17. Watch the movies on a 40-foot screen in Symphony Hall while the Atlanta Symphony performs the film's score live on stage. Tickets start at $79.50.
Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith bring their Christmas Tour to the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta on Nov. 26. Tickets start at $44.75 plus taxes and fees.
A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from the Department of Music at Emory will take place Dec. 1 and 2 in the Glenn Auditorium at Emory University. The candlelit choral concert has been a warm and welcoming Christmas tradition for decades. Tickets start at $20.

Georgia Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops! concert is taking place at 3 and 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Marietta Performing Arts Center.
The Strand's Ole Opry's County Christmas is happening Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta. Christmas hits will be performed with banjos and fiddles. Tickets are $25.
Carols in the Garden at Atlanta Botanical Garden is scheduled for Dec. 2, 9 and 16. The Tinseltones will perform. Performances at 10:45 and 11:45 a.m.

The Georgia Boy Choir is performing Dec. 8 and 9 at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church with performances from all 5 levels of the choir and a full orchestra. They will sing sacred classics and holiday favorites. The stunning acoustics of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church will be on full display throughout the night and Atlanta's largest performance of "The 12 Days of Christmas" will have audiences smiling and singing along. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will present "A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage: at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Atlanta Symphony Hall. Tickets start at $24.
The annual TubaChristmas concert is happening at noon Dec. 8 at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The event will take place outside in the church's Peachtree Road turnaround. More than 50 regional tuba, sousaphone and euphonium musicians will perform. This is a free, non-ticketed event. TubaChristmas was brought to Atlanta in 1987 and he has been conducting it ever since. The performance is part of Peachtree Road UMC's annual concert season programming and holiday events.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Chorus will present Handel's "Messiah" Dec. 14 and 15. Tickets start at $25.
Southern Ballet Theatre will present "A Very Grinchy Christmas" on Nov. 18 and 19 at Gas South Theater. Inspired by the Dr. Seuss classic.
Roswell Dance Theatre will present "The Nutcracker" Nov. 24 through Dec. 3 at Byers Theatre in Sandy Springs. The cast features world-class professionals, company students from Roswell Dance Theatre, and dance students of all ages from Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance. Tickets prices start at $27.
Ballethnic Dance Company will present "Urban Nutcracker" Dec. 8 through 10 at the Martin Luther King International Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College. This is the 30th year for the production and the anniversary performance will feature a mix of iconic elements and fresh, innovative twists. Audiences can expect the familiar enchantment of Tchaikovsky's score, alongside the unique Ballethnic touch – a fusion of classical ballet with jazz, modern, African, and other ethnic dances. The anniversary event will honor several key figures with Ballethnic’s Urban Nutcracker 30th Anniversary Lifetime Achievement Awards including Rev. Dr. Lawrence E. Carter and Dr. Walter E. Massey of Morehouse College and Dr. Mozel J. Spriggs for their early contributions to Ballethnic and the launch of the ‘Urban Nutcracker.’ The ballet will feature returning stars such as Karla Tyson as Brown Sugar and Calvin Gentry as Chocolatier, alongside promising newcomers, weaving a tapestry of past, present, and future. Tickets range from $40-$60 and $80 for Opening Night VIP seating with VIP reception.
"The Hip Hop Nutcracker" is coming to Fox Theatre on Dec. 3. "The Hip Hop Nutcracker" is a contemporary dance spectacle set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless music. Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, the production is performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, a DJ, a violinist, and MC Kurtis Blow, one of Hip Hop’s founding fathers. Tickets start at $40.
Christmas at Jonesboro is happening Dec. 8-10 at First Baptist Jonesboro. There will be soul-stirring music, dance and drama performed by the church's choir and orchestra, Atlanta Drum Academy and Ballet Magnificat.
First Baptist Church in Morrow will present a Christmas Concert with special guests Bill Killmeier, Savannah Cathey and Rick Massengale at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9. Admission is free.
St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta will present its Christmas Cantata at 6 p.m. Dec. 9. This year's theme is "A Praise and Worship Christmas."

MARTA is kicking off the holiday season with their inaugural MARTA Land Holiday Market at West End Station from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14. There will be delicious food, live music, games, activities and this year's MARTA ugly sweater.

The Atlanta Christkindl Market in Buckhead is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the weekends and 3 to 8 p.m. during the week through Dec. 24. The market offers handcrafted treasures, Christmas decor, and German food and drink.
Winter Wonderland Market in Avondale Estates at Little Cottage Brewery and My Parents Basement starts at noon Dec. 9. There will be 10 artists at both locations. There are 5 beers on tap at Little Cottage Brewery and 15 at My Parents Basement. There's also food at My Parents Basement. All ages welcome. Free to attend.
The 2023 Decatur Holiday Martketplace + Cafe is happening at Clairemont Elementary School on Erie Avenue from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 9.

Two food trucks -- Mommies Empanadas and Chritos' Pizza -- will be there and Jimmy G & Tommy T will perform live from 1 to 4 p.m.
Stillfire Brewing in Suwannee is hosting a holiday market at 1 p.m. Dec. 10. There will be a variety of local artists present. There will be food vendors on site. Free for children and pups.
