Centurion Lounge in Atlanta's airport improves health score after failing grade
ATLANTA - The Centurion Lounge by American Express near Gate E-11 at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has made strides in improving its health score after a recent downgrade.
The lounge, which opened earlier this year, recently received a score of 83 from the Georgia Department of Health—a significant improvement from last week’s failing grade of 69.
The initial failing score cited several violations, including uncovered food, buildup in the ice machine, and the presence of flies near the main bar. While the latest report noted some lingering issues, the Department of Health plans to work with the lounge's management to address them.
In response to the inspection, American Express, which operates the Centurion Lounge, issued a statement overnight:
"Delivering a great experience in the Centurion Lounge is our top priority. We take these inspections seriously and have taken immediate steps to address the report."
