Cherokee County forged prescription arrests

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. - Ten people were arrested in Cherokee County on similar charges following a several-month-long investigation.

They were arrested for allegedly using fake prescriptions to get pain pills.

The arrests were made by the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad over the last three months.

In several of the cases, authorities were alerted to bogus prescriptions by pharmacists.
