DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - The DeKalb County Police Department said a child was hospitalized after being hit by gunfire on Saturday night.
Police said a 10-year-old was grazed by a bullet fired at around 9:35 p.m. on Jan. 8 from outside a home on Ridgetop Drive in southern DeKalb County.
A neighbor told FOX 5 News that she heard about 20 gunshots.
"Just the thought of my child getting shot, grazed, whatever, it's just horrifying," she detailed.
Police said the child's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"They said he had gotten shot in the foot. Poor baby. We asked if the child was okay because that was our main concern but the thing about it, it was senseless," she explained.
Police haven't made an arrest or identified a suspect in the shooting.
"That bullet could have hit any one of us. Bullets don't have a name on it. It could have hit anybody. Someone could have been walking down the street. It could've hit anyone so it's a big concern," that neighbor explained.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 770-724-7850 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
