Child porn busts nets 34 arrests in Georgia
ATLANTA - A two-day sweep of individuals suspected of engaging in child porn nets dozens of arrests, including thirty-four here in Georgia.
Nelly Miles, a spokesperson for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said the law enforcement investigation culminated in eight southern states combining tips to make the arrests.
Miles said local and state authorities right here receive hundreds of cyber tips. It is illegal to create images, transmit or receive them.
And the images uncovered included toddlers. There is some good news. Officers were able to recover 13 children in the sweep.
The ages of those arrested ranged from 17 to 72. Among them taken to jail includes a pastor.
