FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A nonprofit group that promotes Civil War tourism in Maryland is hosting an event geared toward museum operators.
The gathering Wednesday afternoon in downtown Frederick is open to the public. It features a 90-minute online presentation by museum officials in Chicago, Atlanta and Virginia Beach, Virginia, about how to attract visitors.
A group discussion is scheduled afterward.
The event is hosted by the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area, which includes parts of Carroll, Frederick and Washington counties.
The presentation is organized by the American Alliance of Museums.
