CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - An "armed and dangerous" man wanted by authorities forced a Riverdale neighborhood to be on high alert on Wednesday evening.
Ricky Kevin Chatman Jr. is wanted for aggravated assault in connection with a double shooting at a Texaco Gas Station on May 30.

'Armed and dangerous' man on the run in Riverdale
Deputies are searching for a man who they say is armed and dangerous. He reportedly took OFF through a quiet neighborhood in the Riverdale area – after they tried to arrest him on an aggravated assault warrant.
According to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office, deputies moved in on a home along Peachtree Court in a quiet Riverdale neighborhood. When the deputies attempted to serve the warrant, Chatman ran from the scene. He was last seen running out of the back of the home into the woods behind the Flint River Community Center.
FOX 5 cameras captured law enforcement back searching a home in that area for any traces or evidence. Although the deputies spoke to three women inside the home, they left without apprehending Chatman

Riverdale police, a K-9 and helicopter units have joined the search.
The Clayton County Sheriff's Office is urging residents to avoid the area of Glenwoods Drive and Peachtree Drive where there is an ongoing manhunt for a double shooting suspect.
Chatman is 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds and was wearing a black shirt and gray pants at the time. Officials said he is to be considered both armed and dangerous.
