EAST POINT, Ga. - The Walmart store at 844 Cleveland Avenue was evacuated on Monday after Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta received an anonymous online tip about possible bombs at the location.
The tip was forwarded to East Point Police, who contacted their Criminal Investigations Unit. Detectives responded to the scene and informed the store manager of the potential threat. Following the notification, the store manager decided to evacuate the premises and requested law enforcement assistance to ensure the safety of staff and customers.
After a thorough search, no explosive devices were found. No injuries or further disruptions were reported.
MARTA Police assisted East Point police with a K9 unit.
