Cobb County motorcycle seriously officer injured in crash

COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Three motorcycle officers were injured, one seriously, in a crash late Tuesday afternoon in Cobb County due to ice on the roadway.

The Georgia State Patrol said it happened on Kennesaw Due West closed near Due West Road.

Cobb County Government posted pictures of the crash on their Facebook page.

The officers were on a funeral detail when they hit the icy patch of the roadway causing the crash.

At least one officer was seriously hurt, but expected to be okay.

The road was closed for a few hours because of the crash.

GSP Troopers are investigating the accident.
