Cobb County teen charged with vehicular homicide
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Charges were upgraded against a Cobb County teen in the death of her friend.
Police said 17-year-old Abigail Cook was driving under the influence along Johnson Ferry Road earlier this month when her passenger, 18-year-old Alyssa Prindle, hung out of a window, fell out of the car, and hit the pavement.
Prindle was rushed to the hospital. She died Wednesday.
Cook has since been charged with first-degree vehicular homicide.
Officers said she's coordinating with the district attorney’s office to determine a time for her to be booked into jail.
