Witnesses describe chaos following shooting at Kennesaw Walmart

Law enforcement officers swarmed a Walmart in Kennesaw on Wednesday after a reported shooting. Witnesses describe the immediate aftermath of the shooting that left one person injured and holiday shoppers shaken.

Parks is thankful no one in the store was hurt in all the chaos.

"Walmart employees did a good job getting everyone out, keeping them safe," said Parks.

"They were screaming "Active shooter! Active shooter!" and immediately everyone stopped, grabbed their stuff and start running," said Hipps.

Hipps grabbed her purse, got out of the store and called 911.

"We were responding as if it were an active shooter inside the store because that was the information we had and we did evacuate the store as our normal protocol," said Cobb County Police Dep. Chief Ben Cohen.
