NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. - Covington Police are investigating a violent robbery at a Dollar General and need the public’s help in identifying the two men seen in store surveillance video.
The store on Highway 278 was hit last Monday night around 10 p.m.
Police said two armed men forced the cashiers to empty the register.
They were wearing black hoodies, white gloves, and bandanas. One of the men’s hoodies had the words “G-Force” written on the front of it.
Surveillance video posted Monday on the Covington Police Department’s Facebook page shows the men entering the store with guns drawn. A different shot shows one of the men pulling stacks of cash from the register and stuffing it into a black bag. Both men are then seen running from the store.
Police said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no reports of injuries during the robbery.
