Coweta County Sheriff's Office actively looking for man wanted for murder near Hwy. 154, Allison Lane

Coweta County officials are pulling out all the stops to locate a suspect wanted for killing a woman on Tuesday.

Deputies told FOX 5 they were dispatched to a home on Halo Trace. That's where the woman's body was found.

The GBI and U.S. Marshals were called to assist alongside the Criminal Investigations Unit.

On Wednesday morning, the sheriff's office posted on Facebook that they are looking for a man named Dustin Allen Phillips. They say he has an active warrant for felony murder. He is believed to be in the area of Highway 154 and Allison Lane and should be considered armed and dangerous. 

The sheriff's office has confirmed with FOX 5 that Phillips is wanted for the murder of the woman on Tuesday.
