Creating a colorful new year at The Battery Atlanta's Muse Paintbar

The great Pablo Picasso once said, "Painting is just another way of keeping a diary." And if one of your 2025 resolutions is to keep as colorful a journal as possible, we found a place where finding your muse couldn’t be easier.

We’re talking about Muse Paintbar at The Battery Atlanta, a paint-and sip studio located just steps away from the home of the Atlanta Braves. Created in 2012, Muse now operates two dozen locations in states up and down the East Coast, making it the largest corporate-owned and operated paint bar in the country. Muse leaders say they host an average of 15,000 events each year at their locations — which means a lot of people channel their inner Picassos while sipping on beer and wine and making new friends! And yes, you read that correctly — the "bar" in Paintbar is literal, with each studio serving a selection of food, beer, and wine.

This morning on Good Day Atlanta, we spent a few hours painting at the studio at The Battery Atlanta, which is hosting an "open studio" from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. Tuesday. That means budding artists can drop in, choose a project, and move at their own pace. Of course, there’s a full schedule of daily public sessions, too, during which instructors lead painters step-by-step through the process of turning a blank canvas into a wall-worthy masterpiece.

So are you ready to release your inner Van Gogh? Muse Paintbar at The Battery Atlanta is located at 925 Battery Avenue, Suite 1120, in Cobb County — to check out the full schedule of upcoming sessions, click here.
