Driver dies in I-285 shooting, crash
Police found a man in his 40s dead at the scene. Investigators are searching for the guman.
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Man, who was shot, crashed while driving along Interstate 285 westbound just west of the Interstate 675 exit on Tuesday afternoon, DeKalb County police say. DeKalb County police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed the man.
Police say officers responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. and found a man in his 40s dead inside the vehicle.
Video provided by the Georgia Department of Transportation shows investigators surrounding the car shortly after they arrived.
Investigators are trying to determine what led up to the shooting, and who was involved.
"It's really crazy in the world these days, too many people angry," said Jillian Strother, who often takes this section of I-285.

Man crashes car on I-285 after being shot, police say
Interstate 285 west was shut down near I-675 for about an hour on Tuesday afternoon after a man who was shot crashed his car, police say. That man has since died.
Gwen Jones, who lives nearby, says it was a dangerous situation for others on the road at the time.
"It could have run off the road or hit another car, people just need to calm down," said Jones.
She says she has heard about way too many shootings lately and wishes something could be done.
"I think people are angry, stressed, depressed. I just pray, that's all I do, just pray," said Jones.
Police have not released the man's name.

Information on a possible shooter and motive were still under investigation.
All lanes of I-285 were shut down for about two hours, but two lanes reopened just before the peak of the evening rush hour. The scene was cleared later that night.
