DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A DeKalb County school will kick off the new school year with some fresh upgrades.
Toney Elementary School will have a new outdoor classroom, new tables and chairs in the media center and fresh paint.
The school earned a top award as part of Georgia United Credit Union and Georgia United Foundation's 2019 school crashers program.
Toney Elementary won the award after teacher, Dr. Karen Dukes wrote an essay and entered the competition.
