Kitten rescued from DeKalb County house fire

DeKalb County Fire Rescue reported to 1235 Weston Drive on Dec. 15, 2024.

DeKalb County fires worked Sunday night to put out a fire at a home on Weston Road. The emergency call suggested that someone may have been trapped inside, but firefighters later reported that all the residents made it out safely.

Within eight minutes of arriving at the scene, the fire was extinguished. The crews went in afterward to investigate the house.

They were able to rescue one kitten, but some of the other cats that lived in the home are still unaccounted for.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
